Express entry
candidates with Canadian work or study experience were selected to apply for
permanent residency in federal Express Entry draw on August 20.
In the last Express
Entry draw, Canada invited Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates with Comprehensive
Ranking System (CRS) score as low as 454.
In the August 20
draw, a total of 3300 ITAs (Invitation to Apply) were issued to express entry
candidates.
Government of Canada
also issued 600 ITAs to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates on 19 August
2020. Minimum score to be selected was 771 on this PNP specific draw.
Serving as Canada’s main source
of skilled foreign workers, the federal Express Entry system manages the three
economic immigration categories namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC),
Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC) and Canada Experience Class (CEC).
Candidates who want to
immigrate to Canada are entered into the Express Entry pool where they are
ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.
CRS score is based on factors
including age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English
and French Language among others.
