In the August 20 draw, a total of 3300 ITAs (Invitation to Apply) were issued to express entry candidates.

Government of Canada also issued 600 ITAs to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates on 19 August 2020. Minimum score to be selected was 771 on this PNP specific draw.

Serving as Canada’s main source of skilled foreign workers, the federal Express Entry system manages the three economic immigration categories namely the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC) and Canada Experience Class (CEC).

Candidates who want to immigrate to Canada are entered into the Express Entry pool where they are ranked based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores.

CRS score is based on factors including age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English and French Language among others.
